We hope to create an ecosystem of ambitious artists looking to build with other artists within their niche, and outside of their typical circle of creatives.
We started Glissando out of frustration with the current online landscape of finding new artists. There isn’t a widely known platform where you can find both local and global artists in a range of genres. The city of Atlanta, where Glissando was concepted, is home to a diverse collection of artists, however it often seems like there a uniform sound to the region, as it is difficult to find artists in other genres of music aside from the widely accessible Trap Hip Hop. Glissando is our effort to diversify music locally and globally by making new artists and niches widely accessible to the entire creative community.
Glissando is a social media platform that allows artists, producers, and venues to create their own profiles and connect with one another. We use a swipe system, similar to popular sites such as Tinder, where prospective users can either swipe right to connect or swipe left to decline. When two people swipe right, a chat box is opened, allowing for communication between the two parties. We intend for Glissando to be the future of connection between artists in our city that will foster a community of connection and collaboration never before seen!
