For this project we used a grey tone paper and charcoal pencil to create a drawing. The theme of this assignment was “Quiet”. To me the string christmas lights in my room resembled the word “quiet” very well. They bring peace to my room and are also a purple toned light that makes the whole room feel very calm.
For this project I used charcoal pencils and grey paper. I studied my string lights and the different values and shadows in that general area. I started off very light with my charcoal, and then added more in an additive process. Slowly adding more charcoal onto the paper.
