- Interviewee 1
- Analysis: Despite a wide variety of ages and all being in very different stages in their recovery progress, it appeared that most of the individuals interviewed valued cost, convenience, and real results from a counseling provider. Most valued the Internet as an important and even primary resource. Most interviewees had tried previous services that they were not completely happy with. All interviewees were American, and thus all had an American perspective on their recovery.
- Reflection: All interviewees were currently (if only briefly) sober and expressed an interest in staying sober. Most were open to trying a new service, but it seemed that the service providing a free trial would guarantee them trying the service rather than paying up-front for an unknown provider. Most wanted options when it came to their specific coach, and the ability to try multiple coaches. The ease of access of the app/website I proposed was extremely important, as those who had used such services were unhappy with the UX and utility of their providers.
