My name is Dr. Alanna Johnson. I began teaching post-secondary courses as an adjunct in the Spring of 2002. Since then, I have gained immeasurable experience in the classroom as well as in the capacity of online instructor/facilitator and have enjoyed every moment. I have more than 10 years experience teaching online and I am now beginning my fifth year as a Fulton County high school math teacher. I possess the following:
- A Doctorate in Mathematics Education.
- 18+ years in education including qualitative research, scholarship, teaching, and administration.
- Respected leadership skills and extensive experience with building meaningful relationships with both colleagues and students.
- Service and community minded with particular interest in our youth and preparing them for future careers.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
As an educator of students in the classroom as well as those online, I am acutely aware of the specific needs of students in the virtual realm and am highly invested in our schools and dedicated to what is required for them to flourish.
