My intention for this sculpture was to create a figurine of an Haitian woman walking with a pot of rice on her head. The figure has a bowl on top of her head. However, the bowl of rice is displayed as spilling all over her. In the image the sculpture is leaned to the side like it's trying to hold the pot that is on top of her head — Multiple Found Object

Medium: Sculpting clay, Rice

Inspiration: Rice is a common dish within Haitian culture. My Haitian heritage and culture inspired me to use and build this standing sculpture with rice.
