I believe technology does change the way people write and communicate. It has changed writing practice because it allows less errors due to the automatic spell check, fixes grammar issues and may even write for you. Some technology tools I rely on when I write is google docs, spell check, word prediction and internet. I utilize these tools to help my writing be the best it can be before I turn it in. They change my writing habits by allowing me to see my mistakes before I get it reviewed by others.

Some AI-powered writing tools I know of is Grammarly, timehero, quillbot and writesonic. My opinion on them is that they are more beneficial than hurtful to use. I feel like the education system should incorporate them into the classroom because it allows students to become less stressed about writing long detailed essays. The AI powered writing tools will change the way we write by making our writing better than what it would originally be. I don’t think it will change the writing pedagogy because learning how to write properly will always be important.
