This drawing was done on a drawing pad with vine charcoal and dark charcoal.  We had to draw a couch with different objects on it, like a skeleton.  This drawing is definitely one of my best.  This drawing was when we had just started experimenting with charcoal and I’ll admit I wasn’t a big fan of the charcoal.  I thought it was too messy and I couldn’t get a good grip on the piece of charcoal to draw well.  But, I managed to get the hang of it as I was going and I felt that the charcoal really added a dark atmosphere to it.  The use of the erased parts really make it work for me.
