President Biden issued two executive orders requiring a Covid vaccination for contractors who work for the federal government and federal workers. Biden’s request ordering COVID-19 immunizations among all government laborers doesn’t apply to individuals from Congress, the administrative court framework, or their staff members. The executive branch falls under the line of the vaccine mandate. Biden’s plan states that companies with 100 or more employees have to mandate covid vaccines. According to Fox News, if a company does not comply with the rules, it can face fines of $14,000.

Industries like Health care, finance and insurance, education, and wholesale trade will all be affected by the vaccine mandate. Health care workers are the most prominent industries affected, with 15 million people. That is two-thirds of the workforce and more than 80 million Americans. People come to believe that this will have a positive effect on the economy. According to Goldman Sachs, As more people get the vaccine, this will reduce the spread of the virus, which will allow people to return to their jobs to work.
The argument for the Bidens vaccine mandate is that many people believe that this violates individual rights and exceeds the president’s constitutional authority. This vaccine has been mandatory to take all of our lives. The argument is that there is no evidence of what the covid vaccine does to our long-term health.
From personal experience, my friend was diagnosed with hypertension when his blood pressure was higher than usual. He is a very healthy kid who was a two-sport athlete in high school. Exercised every day and maintained a healthy diet. Where he worked, they were pushing the vaccine on the unvaccinated very heavily. The rules were if you were not vaccinated, you had to get a covid test every 72 hours at work at 6:00 am. After six weeks of getting a covid test at 6:00 am, he got tired of it and chose to get the vaccine. After about a week of getting the vaccine, he experienced nose bleeds and severe headaches. He went to the doctor and was diagnosed with high blood pressure. The doctor told him that he was almost 100% sure that the vaccine caused the spike in his blood pressure.
Also, with the COVID vaccine, many people have experienced short-term and long-term side effects. Based on the article, “Three things to know about the long-term side effects of COVID vaccines” by the UAB news, they are stating side effects that people never had before. According to the article, people are experiencing these side effects weeks later; “These cases were mostly reported two weeks after injection and mostly in menage 50 and older.” From personal experience, my dad, who is 55 years of age, got the covid vaccine and started to experience: tiredness, headaches, and nausea within days. He still, to this day, experiences nausea daily. According to these side effects that older people are experiencing by younger adults as well, we should have more information on why this is occurring. From reading up on people’s experiences and symptoms, I think the vaccine should be optional based on your health. Everyone should have the right to what they put into their bodies.
