My name is April Decaissee. I am 29 years old, born and raised in Cocoa, Florida. I moved to Atlanta in 2013, with my two handsome boys for better opportunities. I am currently working at Grady Memorial Hospital in the Blood Bank full-time as a Technical Assistant, but will be transitioning into our Emergency Department as an Clinic Assistant in September. I have attend Georgia Perimeter College for about 4 semesters (full-time) as well. I chose Nursing as my major, because I get a real joy out of helping people get the quality care they need and it warms my heart to see the smiles on their faces.
My plans after completing the Nursing program is to continue to work for Grady Health System, either in the Operating Room or the Mother/Baby Unit, because they are a great organization to work for and they really care about our patients and the community. My hobbies outside of work and school are spending quality time with my boys, because they are growing up so fast and I don’t want to miss out on those precious moments, so we do things like vacations, amusement parks, bowling, movies, shopping, basically anything family oriented.
