About

My name is Alexander Dawson or Alec for short. I was born on May 4th, 1996 in Atlanta, GA. I grew up in Marietta, GA, and have always had a vision for creativity, and determination. Being diagnosed with autism at a young age, certain elements of my life were extremely difficult to accomplish like for example holding a fork, speaking at times, and writing, along with social interaction. However my parents fought hard with the school board and therapist, and I was raised to be like everyone else, and not different. This perseverance helped get me to where I am today.

After graduating high school I attended Kennesaw State University with the intention of receiving a degree in Architectural Design. However, after learning my love for math and science wasn’t there, and this was the main curriculum for this degree, I had to rethink my strategy. Trying to find my other talents, I realized on a run one day that I always loved to write and create stories. After some research, I realized that film and television are what I wanted to do so I decided to start attending Georgia State University with my degree focus on Film and Video Production, with a minor in Entertainment Media Management.

I have attended Georgia state as a part-time student since the Spring of 2016, while I worked full time. In the Summer of 2018, I started off as an intern at 3rd Fathom Films, an independent film production company based in Atlanta, GA. From thereafter my internship ended I was hired on as an Associate Producer and Acquisitions Manager. In 2019 3rd Fathom started the distribution and studio company Lincoln Motion Pictures. I then was brought over to become an in-house Producer and Director of Acquisitions. In 2020 we released the horror feature film “Hallowed Be Thy Name”, and in 2021 produced the upcoming feature film “P.S. I Hate U.

Now I help run Lincoln Motion Pictures as we have a non-profit division, a real estate division, an international film division, and a technology and app-based division. I can not wait to see where my journey will take me next.
