This essay is included because it was written in my first rhetoric course, Visual Rhetoric with Ashley Holmes. I loved this class because it reassured me that Rhetoric and Composition was where I was meant to be. Throughout this course we mainly focused on the analysis of images seen by the public, like marketing and art. This class showed me that I would want to eventually use my skills in Rhetoric and Composition to become a part of a marketing department. In this class I found my love and interest for focusing on the way images meet the audience. In this particular essay I analyzed a Coca-Cola ad picture and why I thought the image was chosen. It is not my best analysis, as it was my first real rhetoric analysis assignment, but it shows where I started in this concentration.
