Student Impact
Student, Spring 2023 – I just wanted to thank you for providing such an enriching leaning environment this semester in Biology 2107L. Although it was a tough lab, it really pushed me to think critically and gave me fundamental lab skills. It’s actually the reason I switched my major to biology! I appreciate all of your help and guidance…
Student, Spring 2023 – Words cannot express how happy I was when I saw you were my lab insturctor. I got back to my dorm and immediately called my parents. The first words out of my mouth were, “She’s black and she wears her natural hair in the lab!” It has meant so much to me to have someone that looked like me that pushed me and truly helped me learn. I find myself being able to communicate scientific processes better and seeing the connections between the concepts we learn and things like anglerfish and kidney dialysis. It has meant so much to me to be truly treated like a scientist and I cannot express my appreciation enough. Thank you so much for challenging me and building my confidence in unknown situations! I’ll definitely keep you updated as the skills you taught me help advance. Again thank you so much and I’ll miss going to your class…!
Student, Spring 2023 – I would like to say thank you for this semester! I learned a lot in this class, and I look forward to applying them in the future. Thank you for taking your time and efforts to help us with questions we had
