My initial impression of Boulevard Crossing Park is that it is run down looking. The park is located near a few neighborhoods but none are affluent. The road that the park is located on had a few cars parked on the side but there was never many cars driving by. When I got out of the car and stared walking to the park there were at least 25 voices that could be heard. They were all speaking another language possibly Spanish and were under the pavilion.The women under the pavilion sit on one of the six benches and talk quietly while drinking beers while the men stand together in a circle drinking beers talking and laughing loudly. A few yards away some children huddled around a soccer goal with the one street light that was present on the soccer field. There is some trash on the ground and I find it funny that the first piece of trash I come up to is a tortilla bag. There is a portapotty that sits close to the fence which is surprising because of where this park is located i doubted they would have a bathroom facility. This park is altogether small but it seems to be a nice place for this community to go and hangout, kind of like an urban escape.
