Group Member Duties:

Both members read the case study and shared their notes and suggestions for topics to report via text using Google docs.

Skype calls were scheduled to discuss each other’s interpretations and clarify concerns or answer questions.

Each section was divided, drafted, then edited collaboratively. The essay portion of the manual was produced differently. One member gathered resources and edited the final submission, while the other composed and structured a completed draft of the essay.

To ensure quality, all sections discussed a general outline to help guide the “flow” or direction of the content before each party completed their assigned sections. All work was uploaded to a shared, group blog hosted on Georgia State University’s server. Both parties then visited the site at their own convenience, before joining together to make final updates.

Mode of Work: (i.e. communication strategies to get the assignment completed e.g. synchronous, asynchronous, virtual, face-to-face etc.)

Our communication was initiated using a variety of methods to include:

  • Instant (text) messaging to quickly update each other or send reminders
  • Assigning and completing tasks asynchronous
  • Meetings conducted virtually via Zoom to plan, organize data, strategize, discuss progress, clarify concerns, and review completed tasks
