New NMR Policy: COVID-19 impact

NMR Operating Policy

To ensure the healthiness of all faculty, staff, and students in using the NMR facility, we have developed this emergency NMR operating protocol for all users to follow, if you have any questions, please contact Dr.Du.

NMR Facility Usage Guidelines:

  1. IF YOU ARE SICK, stay home and DO NOT USE THE NMR. Call a healthcare provider if you have any symptoms.
  2. Please wear a face mask or a face cover when entering the NMR room.
  3. Please practice social distancing while at the NMR facility. Stay 6 ft or more apart from other users.
  4. Always wash your hands thoroughly before entering and after leaving the NMR room.
  5. Please only enter the NMR room during your reservation period.
  6. Please reserve your NMR time in the block of 30 mins or longer so you have ample time to finish your experiments and avoid overlapping with other users.
  7. Please use 1-2 pieces of disinfecting wipes to clean the surface and items that you have touched during the operation. Those items include the keyboard, mouse, sample depth gauge, spinner, and so on.
  8. Please limit your NMR experiment to the routine 1-D 1H NMR and 1-D 13C. Please inform Dr.Du three business days earlier if you are performing experiments other than those listed above for approval.
  9. For NSC NMR, please enter through the pin-code door entry and exit through the mechanical hallway.
  10. Please report to Dr.Du immediately if suspiciously activity is observed in the NMR room.
