Organized by the World Affairs Council of Atlanta and the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University, the Young Leaders Fellowship Program in China provides 12 under-40 professionals with a 10-day development and cultural exchange trip to China from October 14 – 23, 2016.

Members of the Young Leaders Fellowship Program in China will engage with universities, various businesses, and significant economic and financial centers in Shanghai, Suzhou, and Beijing. The group will partake in collaborative visits in the Lujiazui Financial District, Shanghai World Financial Center, Suzhou Industrial Park, and HSBC, formerly the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and now known as HSBC Holdings plc.

The Young Leaders Fellowship Program in China was created to enhance the knowledge and skill set of Atlanta’s rising stars and young professionals to hone their leadership skills through interacting with their counterparts, and increase their cultural acumen of doing business in or with China in the future. Chosen for their novice understanding of China, members of the Young Leadership Fellowship Program in China will be provided opportunities to develop global leadership skills through cross-cultural exposure to Chinese business, media, and culture.
