Invitation

“Story and narrative are the code for humanity’s operating system. Emerging media cannot risk limited inclusion and suffer the same pitfalls of traditional media. The stakes are too high.”
-Kamal Sinclair
Please join us this Thursday at 4:00 PM for the inaugural lecture of the Inclusive Media Futures Lecture Series. Based on the research and book, Making a New Reality by Kamal Sinclair and Jessica Clark, this series will cover topics around inclusive media futures. You will be joining a class of 40 Georgia State University students taking this as a Media Entrepreneurship Proseminar. The format will be 30 minutes of presentation and 20 minutes of Q&A (to give the audience plenty of time to engage).

About our Speaker: Kamal Sinclair is making the world more beautiful as the Executive Director of the Guild of Future Architects; supporting independent artists as a Senior Consultant for Sundance Institute’s Future of Culture Initiative, and making art through a family creative practice at Sinclair Futures. She also serves as an External Advisor to the MacArthur Foundation’s Journalism & Media Program and as a board member of MIT’s Center for Advanced Virtuality. Previously, she served as the Director of Sundance Institute’s New Frontier Labs Program for seven years, which supports artists working at the convergence of film, art, media, and technology.
