Co-authoring the Black Lightning Syllabus Season 1 with Dr. Erin L. Berry-McCrea has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my academic career. We are currently at work on Season 2 of the project. Our hope is to encourage teens to watch the show and follow-up by doing some of the activities to create fan fiction and to spark an interest in reading more science fiction books and comic books.
