The application deadline for CLEO’s Pre-Law Summer Institute is two days away. There are are actually two programs to consider:
Pre-Law Summer Institute (PLSI) – The PLSI is an intensive, summer boot camp prior to starting law school. Students study as if they are in the first year of law school, undertaking substantive courses as well as research and writing courses. This year the Pre-Law Summer Institute will be held at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, June 10 – July 7. There is a mandatory online course from May 24 – June 8. CLEO Legally Inspired Cohort (CLIC) is CLEO’s latest program to help diverse students gain access to the legal profession. A highly competitive program, only 20 students will be chosen to start law school in the fall of 2018 at one of four partner law schools. Each group of five CLIC Scholars will:
- Attend the CLEO Pre-Law Summer Institute
- Enroll in one of the partner law schools as a CLIC Scholar
- Work together throughout law school
- Receive financial, academic and professional development support
