WomenLead Courses Offered this Spring

My Political Science colleague, Dr. Sarah Gershon, will be offering a course through the WomenLead Program: POLS 4190 “Policy and Politics.” As with all WomenLead courses (which, this spring, will also include Women Lead in Business and WomenLead in Science), Dr. Gershon’s course will will involve lots of great speakers, experiential learning, and networking opportunities with local leaders. For more information, contact Dr. Gershon (sgershon@gsu.edu) and/or follow the links to the information in the WomenLead flyer pasted here:

WomenLead empowers undergraduate students to aspire to and achieve leadership roles.

You can jump-start your career with WomenLead in Business (for all disciplines), WomenLead in Science and WomenLead in Policy & Politics. Scholar Award funds are available on a competitive basis.

If you have a 3.3 GPA or better, you can be part of WomenLead, an elective 3.0-credit-hour course offered during the Spring 2018 semester on Tuesdays from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m.

WomenLead courses — open to all majors — will give you hands-on experiences including corporate visits, networking events, resume building exercises and one-on-one interviews with leaders in the Atlanta community. You will be evaluated on your engagement in the signature experiences, responses to the readings and a final personal leadership strategy project.

In addition, scholar funding is available for those completing the spring semester class. This funding will not be available to the general student population.

Students who participated in the program said they felt “ready to take on the world!”

Registration begins on October 23rd and the seats will go quickly. After reviewing your application, we will send you a CRN to register.
