Is this program required to work in University Housing?

Completing Panther LEAP is a requirement for all students who want to become student leaders within University Housing. It is required for students applying to become Resident Assistants, Senior Resident Assistants, RHA Executive Board Members, and many other leadership roles in University Housing.

I have a class on Friday before the start of every session, is it okay if I come 30 minutes late?

As part of the program it is essential that students arrive on time to every session. Repeated lateness from participants will be documented. Panther LEAP sessions will be held on Fridays from 12:30pm-5:00pm. 

Do I have to live in University Housing to be a part of Panther LEAP?

You do not have to be a residential students to be accepted into Panther LEAP. Although the program is intended for students living in University Housing it is open to all GSU students. 

Can I miss one of the Friday sessions?

All students in the program must attend ALL Friday seminar and application sessions as outlined in the requirements. Participants who fail to attend all of the mandatory Friday sessions will not be able to complete the program.

Can I sign up to be a part of the program next semester if I was unable to complete it this semester?

Yes, you are able to sign up for the program again if you were unable to complete it the first time. Students are required to complete all requirements the next time around even if the ones they had previously completed. 

Is there a session every Friday?

All Fridays should be reserved for Panther LEAP from 12:30pm-5:00pm. There will not be a seminar or application session every Friday. However, on Fridays when a session is not running, this time slot will be used to complete any other requirements of the program such as attending cohort meetings, practical competence workshops, etc.
