Charles Perrault

Charles Perrault was born in 1628 in Paris, France.  He is a French author who is known for his fairy tales like Cinderella(Cendrillon) and Little Red Riding Hood (Le petit chaperon rouge). Many of Charles writings has adopted into film. Charles Perrault had a wealthy bourgeois Parisian family. He was the seventh child and attended all the good schools and followed into his fathers footsteps in government. other than writing , he also helped Louis XIV design the gardens of Versailles in 1669. He was extremely successful and his writing and tales are still hear of today and probably will be for generations to come. He died in Paris at the age of 75.
