My mission is to increase the mathematical confidence and expertise of my student community while creating a culturally relevant learning environment.
RESUME
I have three years experience as a Title I Math Teacher with DeKalb County Schools. During this time, I taught Advanced Math (12th Grade Math), Math II (10th Grade GPS Math), 8th Grade Common Core GPS Math, and Coordinate Algebra (9th Grade Common Core GPS Math). As a teacher, my responsibilities included discipline, course delivery, parent communication, student records maintenance, individualized instruction plans, parent conferences, administrative reporting, inventory records maintenance and reporting (computer equipment, student textbooks), and yearly continuing education. I have successfully completed both sections of the GACE (Georgia Assessment for Certification of Educators) Math 6-12 Exam, and AP Statistics certification.
I have three years experience as a corporate instructor with AT&T. I delivered and developed (as necessary) courses to interns and internal personnel in UNIX Shell Scripting, ‘C’ Language Programming, COBOL Programming, and Structured Design. Courses ranged from one day overviews to three month initial employment training. As the instructor, I had management responsibility for course students which included supervision, evaluation, and coaching.
