So today, I was at work, and it was one of those long business days. I was having a stressful day and worried about my classes and assignments. When the customers came inside the store, they tried on shoes, socks, shin guards and everything else you can think of inside a soccer store. Try handling three customers at the same time, all asking for different things, and managing the cashier position at the same time. Terrible right? I handled everything, surprisingly. Finally, all the customers left the store, but after about an hour or two a father and son came into the warehouse looking for a soccer uniform for a soccer club. I gave them the uniform and brought down a soccer ball from the rack that they wanted, but, they needed a different size that the store didn’t carry.
As soon as I was about to put it back on the rack, the son offered to put it back on the rack for me, which was such a nice thing to do because it helped me and saved time for me. Somehow is just made my day a little better because of the hectic situation before, it proved that sometimes you would come across people who are considerate and so helpful even though they don’t know whatever situation you were in before. It just proved that sometimes all you need is one person to be considerate, thankful or helpful. Small things even such as a thank you, can I help, or even holding a door for someone can make their day and make such a big difference even though it may not seem like it.
You might not know what someone is going through or how their day was, but you can make it better by just a small thing. How about you try making someone’s day? Maybe hold the door for someone, offer help to anyone who you think may need it, even an elder person carrying groceries, and even saying thank you? How about you make a difference. You may not be able to change everyone, but you can start with yourself, and the rest will follow.
Good story. It really thought me a lesson that we should try to be nice all the time as we don’t know the positive effect it will have on others.
i love this! this is how i want to live out my days,,, HAVING THAT HELPING HAND FOR THOSE THAT NEED IT.
