On Ponce City Market’s rooftop level, residents can discover an amusement park and an outdoor venue for local events. While experiencing various forms of entertainment, individuals have the opportunity to view the beautiful sights of Atlanta looking overtop North Avenue and Ponce de Leon Avenue. This, in turn, prompts the appreciation of Atlanta’s landscape. Skyline, the rooftop amusement park, has various rides and carnival games that will amuse any person of any age. On the contrary, Skyline sells alcohol which may present some hesitation for family outings. From a heege tower to mini golf to games of skill, the park offers a variety of activities that interest consumers while providing a friendly atmosphere with a grandoise sight. The amusement park is very colorful, primarily with red, orange, and green throughout the premises. In terms of atmosphere, Skyline creates an elevated carnival feel with its games, rides, and food. Moreover, an elegant, rustic space for events exists on the roof. This area can be rented out for special gatherings whether it be a wedding, business party, or etc. On the patio, the decoration embodies a rustic feel with wooden flooring and seating, which contrasts to the modern skylines around Atlanta. The most stunning view of Atlanta can be seen from the patio’s perimeter, where any individual can overlook and see the urban design of Atlanta on North Avenue and Ponce de Leon Avenue. Lastly, a historic freight elevator can transport individuals from the rooftop. When examining the

aerial photograph of Sears and Roebuck from 1967, the rooftop is empty; it is not utilized by the facility. Contrasting to present day, the developers of Ponce City Market valued the opportunity to transform the roof from it’s historic landscape by constructing entertainment for Atlanta residents. As opposed to embracing the building’s origins, Ponce City Market saw a greater profit in changing the structure which contradicts to the market’s primary restoration of the building. Regardless of use, the rooftop provides unprecedented views of the constantly evolving city.
