The Institute on Neuroscience (ION) is an eight-week summer program, sponsored in the past by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and hosted by Georgia State University, Emory University, and the Yerkes National Primate Research Center. The program seeks high school students who excel in science and have an interest in research.

Due to funding changes, ION will be on hold indefinitely while we focus our energies on The Neuroscience School (summer short courses for high school students at GSU) and securing new funding for future summers of ION.
