LSAMP and IMSD Fellow, Stacey Jones, wins ABRCMS Award!
LSAMP and IMSD Fellow, Stacey Jones, a senior undergraduate researcher in Dr. Jun Yin’s lab, won a poster presentation award at the ABRCMS national meeting this past weekend. The title of Stacey’s poster is “Probing the Mechanism of Ubiquitin Chain Assembly by E2 Enzymes using Unnatural Amino Acid Incorporation”. Han Zhou, a graduate student, is Stacey’s mentor. This award was given to 4 out of 400 posters in the biochemistry division of ABRCMS, so Stacey has put GSU on the map!
Stacey competed and won a traveling award to go to the ABRCMS conference in Phoenix, Arizona. He received a check of $300 for his poster award.
