Greetings!

My name is Tori Jackson. I am currently a substitute Adult Education Instructor at Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, GA. My primary responsibility is to teach English as a Second Language lessons to adults. I appreciate being able to interact with people from all over the world and help them as they embark on their new lives in the United States.

I have been an educator for over 15 years mostly in the area of Special Education in both middle and high schools. I value education at all levels and my greatest desire is to advocate for students in the areas of accessibility and inclusion. I also value the privilege of being able to support and mentor students. My greatest professional accomplishment is helping students with disabilities earn a high school diploma. I also have a passion for improving post-secondary outcomes for these students.

Outside of my professional life, I am a laid-back person who enjoys nature and YouTube videos. As the mother of adult twins (a son and a daughter), I thoroughly enjoy my freedom to travel the world and sleep late on Saturdays. I am excited about studying Instructional Design and Technology and I am happy to be apart of this class with you all!
