Anthony Benton

Anthony Benton is entering his second semester of the Instructional Technology and Design program here at the Illustrious Georgia State University and is elated to be here. As an Atlanta native, he understands what this university has brought to the city and its contributions to the world-at-large cannot be ignored

A 2017 graduate of Bethune-Cookman University, Anthony decided to take the skills he harnessed in BCU’s Mass Communications program to the private sector, currently working as a case manager for a personal injury law firm. Prior to that, he was employed by the City of Atlanta, contracted by both the Department of Aviation and the City Solicitors Office. During his time with DOA, Mr. Benton was responsible for creating a database that harness the information necessary to process the 300+ who came through the security services office to be fingerprinted for employment at Hartsfield-Jackson.

During his time at BCU, Anthony was a Spring 2016 initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and holds his organization dearly. He works with the Cobb County Alumni chapter, motivating youth who are on their way to college and providing tutoring services to children at his church. He also spends his free time working as a college DJ and lands booking through out the Southeastern region of the country and working with anybody from local artists to A-List stars. He loves Braves baseball and good plates of hot wings, both of which he’ll be enjoying after this post.
