For every parent, family member, or friend, it would be very important to explore every possibility to find out who the killer or kidnapper may be. Even though Arthur Stanley Brown was seen as a main suspect to the Beaumont’s kidnapping, many people do believe that Derek Percy has a good reason to be the criminal. Just like Arthur Brown, Percy had a criminal record. He was known for being a sadistic child killer with only a number of 1+ victims. One of the victims was Yvonne Elizabeth Tuohy (female ,12). He killed this child by knife, however, did not get arrested by reason of insanity in 1970 (Murderpedia). Even though there is evidence that could lead him to being the Beaumont’s kidnapper, there are other reasons why he could not be the one. At the time of the kidnapping, it is proven that he was not in the area on January 26, 1996. Also, in 1996, Percy would have been only in is late teens; which is way to young for the description given. The eye witnesses claimed that the man looked around the age of mid-30’s; which should eliminate Percy from being a possible suspect.
