One thing that trouble’s many people is the fact that something bad usually has to happen in order to change a country, a town, or even  a friendship. However, as sad as it may sound, that is exactly what happened to Australia. Before the Beaumont children were kidnapped, it was common for children to walk around unsupervised. Little kids could get on buses and trains without their parents, and be expected to come home at a certain time. However, after the kidnapping of the Beaumont’s; everything changed. Parents held onto to their children tighter; and people who they did not know became a threat. Not only did this tragedy affect people in Australia, but it also affected people worldwide. Countries began taking more precaution when it came to looking out for their children. It is an event that we will never forget, however, because of it, it made a country better.
