Anna Cuthrell’s project is an attempt to identify, analyze, and dismantle stereotypical portrayals of the Civil Rights Movement in pop culture. Following the guidelines from an assignment in Jody Brooks’ Honors Composition course, Anna uses various digital and web technologies to provide thorough analysis and historical multimedia examples. Further, she provides recommendations for overcoming the stereotypical portrayal of the Movement.
