Need to make up for lost time?
Recent weather and related closings have created challenges for many instructors across campus. We’re here to help. In partnership with technology support groups across campus, we’ve pulled together a variety of resources that may be helpful to you.
Instructional Design Consultation
Our team of pedagogical problem solvers at the Exchange can help you adjust your plan for the rest of the semester to make up for lost time. For example, we can help you plan, create, and publish eLearning content, find high-quality, already-published content to integrate into your course. We can also help you come up with other ways to help your students meet curricular aims. Just contact us at email@example.com or 404-413-4700 to get the conversation started.

Robinson College of Business
We are pleased to announce the opening of our Teaching Innovation Laboratory (TIL) to all University faculty. This lab will allow you the opportunity to record your session in a simulated classroom environment. Also, not to worry, as this lab will be staffed so that all you need to do is show up, and teach! If you would like, each session can be recorded using our lecture capture system, Panopto, or you may choose to use another tool, such as Collaborate. If you have questions regarding Panopto, checking out equipment from RCB, or reserving the Teaching Innovation Laboratory (TIL), please email: RCBhelp@gsu.edu.
Panopto, Collaborate, & ShareStream
Panopto is the new lecture capture system for the Robinson College of Business. This new robust piece of software allows our faculty to easily record and manage lectures being delivered in classrooms across campus. Panopto’s recorder also serves as a great way for professors to podcast assignments in a flipped classroom atmosphere. These podcasts, in addition to their classroom recordings, are easy to manage and direct links to the recordings can be shared with students or co-workers, or even people outside the University. Due to the recent weather related cancellations, the Robinson College of Business would like to extend its Panopto service not only to our college, but to the campus at-large.
Students are also able to easily view their professor’s content. Currently iPhones, iPads, Macbooks, and PCs are supported by Panopto’s player, and can be viewed from nearly anywhere with a data connection. If you have questions regarding Panopto, please email: RCBhelp@gsu.edu.
More than a tool to host synchronous online meetings, Collaborate offers a simple way to record lectures and makes them immediately available through D2L. Instructional designers at the Exchange can help you get started, or feel free to check out the video below for a quick overview.
If you’ve already created content like voice-over PowerPoints, screen captures, podcasts, or other multimedia, you can deliver it to students quickly by uploading the content to ShareStream and linking to it in D2L. Again, instructional designers at the Exchange will be happy to help with setting up your account and uploading your files, or you can check out this short video.
Custom Technology Workshops
We can develop and deliver custom technology workshops to help your group of five or more people learn the skills they need to develop and distribute eLearning content. Workshops can range from conceptual approaches to blended learning to nut-and-bolts technical skills required to create eLearning content.
Laptops for Checkout
The Exchange has USB microphones and laptops available for faculty checkout. All laptops have lecture-capture software and integrated webcams and microphones.
Robinson College of Business
Also, in addition to opening classroom space to the campus community, we are also making available a slate of PC laptops and touch-screen tablet PC’s, which can be used to record Podcasts. If you have questions regarding checking out equipment from RCB, please email: RCBhelp@gsu.edu.
