Ready to Die

Christopher Wallace, a 24-year-old native of Brooklyn, New York, famous hip-hop artist formerly known as “The Notorious BIG” was murdered on March 9, 1997, in Los Angeles, California, after attending the celebration of the 11th Annual Soul Train Music Awards. He was riding in the front passenger seat of a Chevrolet Suburban when another vehicle pulled up beside his and someone opened fire (CNN). Bullets entered his right hip and ripped through several organs, including his liver, heart, and lung. The other wounds in his left forearm, his back and his left thigh (CNN).

He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he arrived in full cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead shortly after 1:00 a.m. (CNN). Neighborhood drug addicts and dealers made in influence on his early development which sent him to prison in North Carolina.
