ENGL 8115 Project

Overview
For this assignment, you will select a set of readings for a particular week, do a written summary of the readings, email the summary to the entire class, and lead class discussion on the readings.

Summary
Your summary will cover all the readings for the week you selected. However many readings there are for a particular week, you need only one summary of 1-2 pages single spaced that covers all the readings for that week. 

Email a copy of your summary to the entire class the day before the class.

Presentation and Discussion
On the day of class discussion, you’ll first present a brief (3-5 minutes) presentation of the readings. Whether you prepare a presentation file such as PowerPoint, it’s up to you (I don’t have a requirement for this). Then you’ll lead class discussion by asking thought-provoking questions. So, prepare some good questions. 

The main focus of this assignment is to have a good discussion that involves the entire class.

Grading
The grading of this assignment is participation based, meaning that if you do a decent job, you’ll automatically receive the points for the assignment. 

Technicality
Your summary file should be named “Summary(YourLastNameYourFirstName),” e.g., “Summary(SmithJohn).”
