Everybody is born an editor, for we have a passion to correct other people all the time, whether such correction is welcome or not. When it comes to writing, editing is an inevitable step in the process. Hopefully, this course will introduce you to the right and effective ways of editing. It aims to help you develop strong rhetorical skills as well as grammatical competency, to gain a deep understanding of editor’s roles and his/her relationship with the author, to practice editing with a range of different documents, and to prepare for a possible career in, or related to, editing. Previous experience as an editor will be very helpful but not necessary. However, meticulous attention to details is a must.
