Tap the Magic Tree by Christie Matheson ($11.27, hardcover, HarperCollins Publishers) is an interactive book in the same vein as Press This, which I shared last week. Readers are encouraged to tap the tree (which makes the leaves bud), rub the tree to warm it up, and more as the tree progresses through the seasons. With simple pictures and text, Tap the Magic Tree proves that printed books can be just as interactive as e-books.
