BGX is proud to announce that three University of Belize students will be visiting Atlanta to co-present the results of the 2014 May sugarcane farming project in Orange Walk, Belize. The presentations will be held October 14-17, 2014 at the Applied Geography Conference hosted by Georgia State University Department of Geosciences. A portion of the funding was provided by a grant from Georgia State University.
As part of the BGX program and with partial funding support from Georgia State University, three University of Belize students will be attending the Applied Geography Conference in Atlanta October 15-17, 2014. At the conference GSU and UB students will co-present their collaborative sugarcane mapping research project completed in Orange Walk in May 2014.

Georgia State University and University of Belize faculty will connect July 28-July 31 as Dr. Hawthorne visits the University of Belize campus in Belmopan to discuss future collaborations and partnerships. Check back soon for updates, include pictures of collaborative fieldwork and drone mapping.
